Paranormalcy by Kiersten White

Standard

Hi everyone! Ash here. I’m reading the best book, Paranormalcy, by Kiersten White. The book is centered in a world like ours, except for one thing: there are paranormal things, like vampires and faeries. I’m giving it 4.8 pencils.

So in the book, Evie can tell whether people are actually trolls, vampires, or other paranormal creatures. Evie is with the International Paranormal Containment Agency (IPCA) and has made many friends there, along with some enemies. Her allies include a shape-shifting boy named Lend, whom she meets near the beginning of the story, and a creepy faerie named Reth, who she had previously loved. Both become romantic interests as the story continues, and they are joined by other companions as well. Basically, this book is about a seriously awesome girl’s attempts to balance her paranormal-containing duties with her desire to lead a normal teenage life, especially when she finds out the details of the IPCA and her beginnings.

Hope you like!

  1. I FINALLY got around to reading this, and I’m hooked! It’s a bit confusing but a worthy read. The second book is called Supernaturally and it’s my current read. I have to say that Ash doesn’t give this book enough credit and its about 20 million times better than she says. I am giving it a full 10 pencils for the twisting plot, the laid back writing style, and Lend (who I might be in love with, even if he’s only in my brain).
