Tempest by Holly Hook

Hi everyone! Ash here. This is for all you Nook owners, because this book is free, not to mention a Lend-Me, so you can share the book with all your friends! Definitely 4.5 pencils!

Tempest, by Holly Hook, is an intriguing book about people who turn into–don’t even try to guess–hurricanes. Yup, a pretty awesomely crazy plot. Anyways, the main character, Janelle, thinks the weird, hurricane-like mark on her arm is just a birthmark, when it really marks her as being a Tempest, someone who changes into a hurricane when they jump into the ocean. Her life is going just fine, with her dad scheduling a trip to the Bahamas and all, until Hurricane Gary (the person) lands in front of her and she finds out about this whole Tempest deal. She checks the name list for hurricanes, and finds out that her name is on it–meaning she has to turn into a hurricane before the year is up! Not only that, but it turns out she’s the most powerful Tempest ever: You would run, too, right? Especially if you found out the Tempest High Leader was out to get you and hypnotize you do destroy New York!

I loved this book, and bought the next 3 books in the series.

Hope you like!
